Argentine New York Strip Fugazzeta Style

 

 


HOW TO:

STEP 1:
Start by lighting the Jealous Devil HEX Supernatural charcoal until fully ashed over and glowing.

STEP 2:
Finely slice onions, toss them with coarse salt, and set aside.

STEP 3:
Butterfly the Argentine NY strip and season it just with salt. Place it on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on one side without moving it.

STEP 4:
Meanwhile, sauté the onions in a hot cast iron pan until soft and lightly golden.

STEP 5:
Flip the steak, then top it with mozzarella and the sautéed onions. Finish with oregano, crushed red pepper, and a spoon of chimichurri.

STEP 6:
Cover the steak using the cast iron pan like a lid, turning it into a mini oven. Place a couple of hot coals on top and let it cook for another 3–4 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the steak reaches your desired doneness.

STEP 7:
Take it off, slice, and enjoy.
