Filet Mignon with Peppercorn Sauce, or ‘Steak Au Poivre’
How to:
Step 1:
Grind the mix of peppers together with coarse salt and coat the steaks with it.
Step 2:
Sear the coated steaks in a hot skillet over high heat until they are browned on all sides.
Step 3:
Add heavy cream to deglaze the pan and create a sauce.
Step 4:
Continuously baste the steaks with the sauce until they reach the desired level of doneness.
Step 5:
Remove the filets from the skillet and serve them with the sauce over mashed potatoes or your favorite side dish. Enjoy!
